Sensuous Book Class

I just returned from taking a 2 day class in Saanich, BC (near Sidney) over Easter weekend. We spent the first day using fabric as a basis for making painted, collaged and decorated "papers" for book covers. The second day was about laminating these fabrics onto other surfaces to allow for a soft cover book to be made. This added a whole new dimension to making covers and pages for books. The class called Sensuous Book was given by Martha Cole, from Saskatchewan, Canada. Martha is a textile artists who applies that work to the making of books.
